This world-class boat manufacturer from Hartsville, South Carolina was established in 1979 by Al Fink. They started with two moulds, a couple of experienced enthusiasts and a passion for boats that soon brought them to the very top of world manufacturers of smaller yachts for pleasure and recreation.
Stingray is one of the few boat manufacturers that refused the temptation to build bigger and bigger yachts, but instead focused on smaller yachts up to 8 m in length. Thus they have become renowned for their bowriders, cuddys and cruising yachts, all of which are known for their speed, due to their famously fast hulls.
They now have over 20.000 m2 of production facilities and top of the line technology for hull casting with a highly automatized production.Stingray has also received numerous awards, most of them across the Atlantic.
Throughout the history of production of these high quality speed yachts, the management of the Stingray always strove to preserve the environment. Their production facilities are equipped with the most advanced technology and use the newest materials, which comply with the strict environmental legislation of the federal state of California (Rule 1162). They are also careful to select suitable engines and hull shape, a combination of which can significantly reduce fuel consumption and, consequently, reduce pollution.
